Hundreds of LGBTQ+ films screen at KASHISH 2025 Online Film Festival. The month-long festival aims to provide easy access beyond geographical boundaries to film lovers, educators, differently abled persons, and closeted LGBTQ+ individuals. The #Newsdesk reports.

KASHISH 2025 Online Film Festival, South Asia’s biggest LGBTQ+ film festival, invites global audiences to stream 102 films from 29 countries between August 15 and September 15. With feature films, shorts, filmmaker introductions, audience reactions, and bonus free titles, the festival ensures access for students, educators, allies, activists, and LGBTQ+ individuals worldwide. Presented by KASHISH Arts Foundation with support from Mariwala Health Initiative, Keshav Suri Foundation, and The Lalit, this digital edition brings queer cinema to homes across borders, creating a safe, inclusive space to celebrate diverse stories and amplify LGBTQ+ voices throughout the year.

South Asia’s biggest film festival, KASHISH Pride Film Festival, is bringing a month-long event, KASHISH 2025 Online Film Festival, so that everyone without borders can binge-watch LGBTQ+ films in the comfort of their homes — on their phones, tablets, laptops, or TVs.

The online festival is screening 102 Films from 29 Countries from August 15th – September 15th on an online platform through their festival website:

“The online program is a curated experience featuring select films from the in-person lineup, fresh additions to the slate, and special features such as filmmaker introductions and audience reactions. The aim is to amplify the visibility of films and filmmakers who deserve a global audience while creating opportunities for deeper engagement,” said Sridhar Rangayan, festival director.
“The online edition is also an access initiative — allowing students, educators, activists, allies, differently abled persons, and even closeted LGBTQ+ individuals to participate from the comfort and privacy of their homes. By making these stories accessible worldwide, the festival expands its conversation around queer lives and rights into a year-round movement,” said Saagar Gupta, artistic director.

Four feature films and four to five short film programs drop every week, however audiences can watch trailers of all films beforehand. There are also 12 bonus films that are free to watch by everyone. Half of the films are available for audiences worldwide. People can subscribe for a full-festival pass, or choose any film or short film package from the pay-per-view option.

The KASHISH 2025 Online Film Festival is presented by KASHISH Arts Foundation, and supported by Supporting Partners Mariwala Health Initiative, Keshav Suri Foundation, and The Lalit.
