Director Hansal Mehta, who earlier made National Award-winning Shahid, says the case compels one to question if an individual’s sexuality is more important than who they are and what they do. “Siras was an established linguist and Marathi author. But what he did in the privacy of his bedroom took his life,” says Mehta.
