by The Daily Eye Team September 12 2014, 9:33 am Estimated Reading Time: 0 mins, 34 secsTo deal with the rising number of crimes against women, the district administration and police have roped in Asha (Accredited Social Health Activists) workers to inform them about harassment and other cases of sexual assault. More than 2,000 Asha workers deployed in various villages of the district have been asked to keep a watch on potential criminals targeting women. All the Asha workers have already been given the control numbers through which they can complain. As per the plan proposed by district magistrate Sanjay Kumar, Asha workers would now report to the control room of the district administration in case any incident of crime against women comes to their notice.
