He’s a writer, director, actor, singer and a tireless campaigner for gender equality. Adjudged the best actor for his role in ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, Farhan is nowadays busy doing the promotional rounds for his upcoming rom-com, ‘Shaadi Ke Side-Effects’, co-starring Vidya Balan. However, recently the actor-musician took to the stage at a music and art festival in Mumbai with his band, Farhan Akhtar LIVE to hundreds of screaming fans.
But what made the performance even more special was that he performed to promote his social initiative MARD(Men Against Rape and Discrimination). On stage with the band was a 10-foot guitar cutout, on which was painted the signature MARD moustache in various colours. The huge guitar was a part of the Gibson GuitART For Good installations, that promoted various causes.
