The Supreme Court’s decision of reviewing the Section 377 of Constitution which criminalises homosexuality in India, was welcomed by the LGBT groups in the country. We know that Karan Johar has always been open about an Indian individual’s need of coming out of the closet and society’s contribution in the same. He recently spoke eloquently about the topic at the trailer launch of Hansal Mehta’s Aligarh which is a real story about the way homosexuality is perceived in India. In the light of Supreme Court’s decision he took to Twitter saying, “Yes there is hope…and I hope the hope is validated with the just and correct verdict….#Article377 “. Yeah, he did sound hopeful.
