Parineeti Chopra: Haryana Women Have Suffered Discrimination.

Bollywood actor and Haryana’s brand ambassador for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, Parineeti Chopra was at the Call for Action venue, Gurgaon on Tuesday (July 21) and said that Haryana’s women were subject to discrimination. “I believe that women in Haryana have suffered discrimination and struggled against patriarchy for centuries. If my presence and face can help in changing the fate of some girls and can build awareness in favour of girls, I would be gratified. Haryana holds a special place in my life, as I have grown up and spent my childhood in Ambala. And I hope to do a lot more for the campaign in the future,” Parineeti Chopra said. Parineeti who hails from Ambala, later told media persons that she had volunteered to join Haryana’s campaign and that she will not accept any money for the campaign. She also said that in case she ever got an opportunity to play a girl from Haryana on film, she would be proud to do that.
