Krrish 3 Review

To my utter dismay, my expectations proved to be correct about Krrrish 3. The film is a
collage of plagiarism, terrible performances and tacky special effects. You can literally feel singular
brain cells pop consecutively in your skull during the course of the film. Other moments you feel a
profound sense of embarrassment as it dawns upon you that outsiders are going create stereotypes
of Indians based on this film. Unoriginal action sequences and characters that were stolen from a
collection of Hollywood blockbusters; the antagonist and his minions were clones of Professor Xavier
and the X-men.

However, the layers of conflict that modern Hollywood superhero films introduce lacked
in Krrrish 3. The only meaningful plot point was the inclusion of pharmaceutical conspiracies that
too was presented with easily falsifiable science. The physics in the film is beyond the realm of the
absurd. It is unclear whether Krrrish can fly or not, the writers of the film chose to include this power
where it is convenient to the story, and overlook it when it is not. The one aspect of the film that one
would imagine to be inciting is the special effects. Well, it appears to be the contrary. The special
effects work was superfluous and tacky and did not even come close to the finesse seen in the films
from which Krrrish 3 has stolen.

The score did not elicit thrill or captivation that are usually synonymous with action films,
and the mash up with Bollywood style song and dance sequences convoluted the experience, which
as a whole seemed to have lost the plot. Performances in the film; especially in the case of Kangana
Ranaut, were pitiful. No actor was sincere, some put what seemed to be absolutely no effort into
their jobs, while others over acted to the point of parody. This along with the sappy nature the film
gives the audience a sense of awkwardness and a compulsive impulse to leave the theatre.

All in all this film is a disgrace and does not deserve any attention. I implore you to ignore it.
It is astounding that the creators of this film can insult the intelligence of an audience that deserves
so much more but are deprived as due to these studio cartels. The only way change can be made
is to ignore this oligopoly and demand meaning and sophistication in our cinema and stand up to
change the status quo. Death to the Krrrish franchise.
