Somewhere you know that you’re presuming when you plan on watching Steven Soderbergh’s movie. The elegant actors and their talks are so sharp and witty. But if there’s really something that’s changed it is the appearance of all his actors. Instead of all the flashy tuxes and pinned black ties, the actors wear boilers and dungaree suits. Their enunciation has the typical West Virginia pitch. So later, you kinda feel that nah! nope! This is the exactly how you thought it was coming.

The ‘Logan Curse’, people have presumed that the Logan family is hexed and so do Jimmy Logan (Channing Tatum) and Clyde Logan (Adam Driver) who are brothers, also believe the same. Jimmy and Clyde already aren’t exactly having some good times currently in their lives. Adding up to that Jimmy is fired from his construction job which was happening on the racing track, Charlotte Motor Speedway. His ex-wife Bobby Jo (Katie Holmes) wants to leave and move to different state with his daughter as she has full custody of her. And for that not to happen he’ll need a lawyer and eventually he’ll need money for that too. So, he has a plan for which he pulls in Clyde his brother who has just one arm and his sister Melly (Riley Keough) to plan to rob the Charlotte Motor Speedway’s vault.

The interesting thing that Charlotte Motor Speedway uses is the pneumatic cylindrical tubes to transfer money to their vault. And this definitely is not the job for two men where one has got no arm and the other one is a limping. So, they decide to take help from Joe Bang (Daniel Craig) and his nutcracker brothers Sam (Brian Gleeson) and Fish (Jack Quid). Bang is imprisoned, so however there needs to be a plan for him to break out of jail and getting him back. All that done just in a day that too, with nobody noticing. Undeniably crazy!

Everything in the movie is exactly moving at an absorbing pace. The humor that’s expected is not in there. It comes out persuasively. Everyone’s performances are remarkable. Adam Driver really did well. But taken by surprise Daniel Craig is someone you can’t take your eyes off. All from wearing sensual evening jackets in James Bond with the perfect articulation of the Brit accent to looking at him as a scandalous character with tattoos and a crook is just got us tongue-tied. Especially when he says, “No Peaking!”

Not to be disappointed the movie does give you an outlook of the West Virginian life. The moment when her daughter sings the song ‘Take me home, Country Roads’ by John Denver which if you read the lyrics, describes the state of West Virginia, aptly about the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah River.

Logan Lucky does end up explaining itself in the end that they aren’t so unfortunate after all. It’s definitely unpredictable up to a certain extent but yet intriguing.  Though it doesn’t convey what they’re supposing to, through the genre of comedy with just few laughs. All over it’s not disappointing!
