Adorable Lord Krishna makes a star appearance at the Mumbai Pride Parade as revellers in the most colourful and powerful appearance celebrated with song, dance and merriment, reports the #Newsdesk

The Mumbai Pride parade for the LGBTQI community, their friends, families and allies, was a colourful extravaganza, which wound through the ancient streets of South Mumbai and expectedly, created quite a stir. Fashion Designer Salim Asgarally, also slow food entrepreneur and proprietor of Sals Organics, was the highlight of the day.

While some people went out on to their balconies and rooftops to view this spectacle of unity as it snaked along the busy and bustling roads, others leaned out of BEST buses and taxis to capture everything on their mobile phones.

The traffic came to standstill - literally - as Mumbai's very efficient Police Force guided the revellers in an organised fashion. Banners and flags were waved, the crowd chanted LGBTQI inclusive slogans and the air was filled with love as people wished each other HAPPY PRIDE.

We were thrilled to notice a little stray dog also walking along with the crowd. He enjoyed the attention he was getting in the form of petting, cuddles and biscuits.

But it was LORD KRISHNA who really had us enthralled. Not in person, of course. But in the form of a stuffed toy which designer Rohit Varma carried in his arms.

Did the queer people at the parade have HIS divine blessings??

Considering the event was a super success, we like to think they did!
