Until last month, Thimmakka had to blow her lungs out even to make a cup of coffee. And this had been her ritual for 40 years now. Not any more. Her kitchen is now fitted with an LPG stove. Like 274 other households in Vyachakurahalli of Gauribidanur taluk in Chikkaballapur district.
