For the past four years, The Daily Eye has been one of the important pillars of independent journalism, providing a platform for writers, filmmakers, and artists to share their work without fear of censorship. In an era where mainstream media often distorts narratives to fit popular trends, The Daily Eye remains steadfast in its commitment to truth. With a global readership of over half a million and partnerships with entities like KASHISH LGBTQ+ Film Festival and the Film Critics Circle of India, we’ve challenged the status quo and showcased talent that mainstream outlets often ignore. Now, we’re reaching out to our supporters to help us grow from print to video and film, and continue making a lasting impact on society.

The Daily Eye's Appeal for Sustenance and Growth

It has been four years since we launched The Daily Eye, a platform that numerous writers, journalists, authors, and film critics have contributed to, without expecting any form of remuneration. These contributors, many of them prominent names in the fields of journalism and cinema, have believed in our platform’s mission. They trusted The Daily Eye to deliver their work with integrity, refraining from altering narratives to cater to the popular demands that compel much of mainstream media to distort  or for that matter, sensationalise the truth.

Writers like Humra Quraishi, Monojit Lahiri, Shantanu Ray Chaudhuri, Satyabrata Ghosh, Ajanta Dutt and Utpal Datta have offered their invaluable contributions to our publication without remuneration. Writers from our earlier days, including Aparajita Krishna, Khalid Mohamed, and Dhruv Somani, worked with us regardless of compensation. Contributors like Sharad Raj of Just Cinema, who shared the writings of distinguished expressionists such as Vandana Kumar, OP Srivastava, Ranjan Das, Devdutt Trivedi, and Ramchandra PN, as well as his own works, have been integral to our journey. Their belief in the platform’s authenticity and mission was unwavering.

Our partnerships have been another source of strength. Sridhar Rangayan and Saagar Gupta, founders of KASHISH Pride Film Festival, and Dalton Christopher of the Film Critics Circle have partnered with us for several events, offering their support without hesitation.

We have attempted to generate revenue through advertising and sponsorship for the stellar events we hosted. Our speakers and venues have generously participated without charge, yet we face challenges in generating enough income to remunerate all those who work tirelessly for us.

As we step into our fifth year, we recognize the impact The Daily Eye has made on both the cinema industry and society at large. We have consistently reported the truth, even when it meant going against the grain in our coverage of politics, social issues, and the showcasing of talent outside the mainstream. Now, we believe the time has come to reach out to you, our readers and supporters, for help in sustaining and growing this platform.
