Scientists have for long warned of the costs that a warmer planet would impose on the living standards of many, or even the survival of some. Last week witnessed another such warning, this time from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that released the last of a series of working group reports assessing the impact of carbon emissions on the earth?s climate.
