Climate change by cleaning up power plants

Jeanne Shaheen for her participation in the Senate Climate Change Task Force’s all-night speak-a-thon Monday night. That was a clear sign that she understands the urgency of addressing global warming. Given the U.S. House vote last week to prevent carbon-pollution standards, speaking up about the urgency of global warming is all the more important.
The next step is acting, and that means cleaning up our power plants – America’s number one source of carbon pollution – and shifting to more clean energy like wind, solar, and energy efficiency. The Environmental Protection Agency is moving forward with a new climate action plan to limit carbon from power plants, but it will need the support of citizens in New Hampshire to make that happen.
