Mumbai, India ??17 November 2015 ???utrition experts, government officials, and development agencies from across the globe, including India with participation from 15 states, are gathering for three days to determine the most cost-effective ways of improving the nutritional quality of foods and feeding for young children 6-24 months of age. They will craft a road-map to improve complementary foods and feeding for millions of children in India and globally. ?The meeting is hosted by Government of India and Government of Maharashtra with technical support by UNICEF other national and international development partners. ??nvesting in the first thousand days of life - the most critical period for survival, growth and overall development of young children - will translate into the creation of a strong future generation of highly skilled and educated human resources.
