The World Breast Feeding Week started at Military Hospital Satwari with a great enthusiasm and overwhelmed participation by admitted mothers and families of Jammu and Nagrota Garrison, today. The programme was inaugurated by Rita Guha, Zonal Vice President AWWA White Knight Corps who was received by Sushma Harjai, Convener Family Welfare Centre of the Military Hospital and the Commandant. The theme for this year given by World Alliance on Breast Feeding Action (WABA) is “Breast Feeding: A Winning Goal for Life”. The poster competition which was organized on the theme of breast feeding saw an overwhelming response from the admitted mothers and the families of the garrison. The posters were judged by the chief guest of the function Rita Guha, who also gave away the prizes for the best 3 posters. This was followed by presentation on “Breast Feeding Promotion and Practices” by the pediatrician of the hospital
